Our Community
We have a long history of links within the wider community. Our staff live locally and are involved with community work supported by the company; examples include voluntary work via Rotary membership and memberships of a number of local community/public service committees.
By the very nature of our work, we also have close links with and support many organisations including: our chosen charities of the year; Neville Funerals own bereavement support coffee mornings - Talking Elephants; careers events in schools and colleges; sponsorship of local events and community groups; and partnerships with organisations seeking to help those in the developing world.
Charities of the Year - 2024
Our Charities of the Year for 2024 are Autism Bedfordshire and The Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity.
Autism Bedfordshire are the only voluntary organisation in the country that is specialised in supporting autistic adults and children while also provide support for families . Their services help break down the barriers to social participation for autistic people and their families by providing places they can go and feel comfortable. They also help them to develop practical skills and independence, which in turn improves their prospects in life and helps them be a part of the community.
The Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity is the only charity that provides emotional, physical and financial wellbeing support to the construction community and their families. Their strategy is to provide a wide range of free and widely available pro-active resources to support the industry.
